We stock an enormous variety of motorcycle and ATV riding apparel and accessories at our retail store in northern Kansas City at the same low Internet prices. You’ll be able to see and try on most of the items you find on this web site while being helped by knowledgeable staff in a clean, professional, kid-friendly environment. Though we have a huge stock of inventory in our retail store, we don’t have every item in our KC store every day. Please be sure to call or e-mail us in advance if you are traveling a long distance to pick up a specific item, so we can verify stock.

In addition to apparel and accessories, we stock a great selection of oil, oil filters, chemicals and cleaning supplies available only in the retail store. We can even special order thousands of items from over a dozen distributors at discount prices. There's no extra charge for special orders, and they usually arrive in less than a week.

Even if you don't need anything, just stop in and say "Hi." You're sure to meet some other like-minded enthusiasts. We can also suggest some nice country routes to ride north of town and a few good places to stop and eat. Better yet, join us on one of the Head 2 Holt rides for lunch.

Directions and Map

We are located in northern part of Kansas City, Missouri, just north of Gladstone.

Our store is three blocks south of Barry Road on North Oak Trafficway in the middle of a strip mall on the east side of the street. There is a small fire station directly across the street from us, which has a dedicated traffic light on North Oak.

From Johnson County, Kansas

From Overland Park or Olathe take I-35 north to I-635 north to I-29 SOUTH to 169 Hwy north to Barry Road. Turn right on Barry Road and go to North Oak Trafficway. Turn Right on North Oak and head south. Go just past the Valvoline Oil Change on right. Turn left into the strip mall when you pass to the fire station on the right.

Since 2002, MotorcycleCloseouts, L.L.C. has offered discounted and closeout motorcycle and ATV apparel, parts and accessories to the public over the Internet and through our retail store in Kansas City, Missouri. Our goal is to be able to discount our closeout items at least 30% off of published retail prices, but we get really excited when we can offer discounts of 50% or more. Visitors to our retail store pay the same low prices seen here on our web site.

Our products are first quality and carry the same manufacturers' warranties as if they were sold in your local motorcycle dealership. Closeout items are not blemished or defective items; they are simply overstocked at the distributor or perhaps last year's models. We keep our prices down by buying in bulk and keeping our overhead low, while offering high-quality products and providing exceptional customer service.

"Thanks for taking time to visit our web site. If you don't mind, I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself so you'll know with whom you're doing business.

My name is Rusty Beck, and I am obsessed with things that have wheels and motors, especially if they are really big, unique or exceptionally fun to ride/drive. My parents will tell you that at age two I would watch a bulldozer work for hours. By the time I became a teenager I was operating a bicycle repair and sales shop out of my parents' basement, with an inventory often exceeding 20 bikes. Much to my parents' dismay, I used some of the proceeds from the bicycle shop to purchase my first motorcycle, a 1976 RM125, when I turned 16.

Over the last 25 years I have owned a diverse collection of bikes. My collection has included singles, twins, triples and a V4. They have been dirt bikes, ATV's, dual sports, standards, adventure touring, sport touring and sport bikes. My old 1999 KTM Adventure R, was the inspiration for the orange color of the web site. I recently acquired a 1974 Laverda, which belonged to my departed friend Randy Staples, who helped me start MotorcycleCloseouts.

I love to explore the countryside on the roads less traveled, and my favorite ways of doing so are on a dual sport bike or with my family in my Land Rover Defender 90. I served as president of a Kansas City-based Rover club for several years and try to stay involved in local enthusiast groups. I served on the board of directors of an organization that opened the Kansas Rocks public off-road park south of Kansas City. I have been a longtime member of the AMA, Four Stroke Singles National Owners Club and the Heart of America Motorcycle Enthusiasts. In 2006, I organized a bi-monthly lunch ride to Holt, Missouri for all types of motorcycles, which you can check out at www.head2holt.com.

My friends will all tell you that I really love a good bargain, and I am obviously crazy about motorcycles too. That is why I am so passionate about MotorcycleCloseouts. It gives me a chance to get some great deals for myself and pass on huge savings to my friends in the motorcycling community. I know there are a lot of us out there who would love to have a top-of-the-line leather jacket or other great riding gear, but can't afford or don't want to pay retail for it.
